Brief

A Toronto-based, modern French restaurant and natural wine bar by Chef Zach Kolemeir.

Named after Alfred Dreyfus, a wrongly accused French Jewish artillery officer from the 1800s, we were tasked with incorporating this important piece of history into a modern brand.

Findings

Through client Q&As we realized the importance of honoring Commander Dreyfus by reclaiming & satirizing the antisemitic propaganda that was leveled against him. Reclaiming it with a joie de vivre brought out through whimsical illustration.
